Prison or Labour camp

a prison or labor camp in a cutscene.

A prison or a forced labor camp is an area the inspector is sent to upon the breach of certain laws. These can scale from high treason to being in debt. Endings 1, 3–14 and 17 end with the inspector being sent to either a prison or a forced labor camp. The locations of prisons or labor camps are not mentioned in the game but all installations in the cutscenes share the same look.

Crimes Edit

Crimes considered severe enough to be imprisoned:

  • Delinquency (Being in debt) - Punishment: Under arrest until debts are paid.
  • Treason (associating with suspicious groups which threaten the government) - Punishment: Unknown (most likely forced labor or death).
  • Anomaly in earnings (Illegally obtained money) - Punishment: Under arrest until audit in finished (probably forced labor or prison).
  • Murder of an innocent (shooting a civilian with the sniper rifle) - Punishment: Death by firing squad.
  • Harm of an innocent (shooting a civilian with the tranquilizer gun) - Punishment: Forced Labor.
  • Murder of an Arstotzkan Official (shooting a soldier or government related person with the sniper rifle) - Punishment: Death by firing squad.
  • Harm of an Arstotzkan Official (shooting a soldier or government related person with the tranquilizer gun) - Punishment: Death by firing squad.
  • Violating direct orders (doing something to aggravate Dimitri such as wall hangings) - Punishment: Forced Labor.
  • Theft of Arstotzkan property (not allowing Dimitri's friend through) - Punishment: Forced Labor.
  • Failure of Duty (allowing destruction of Grestin Checkpoint) - Punishment: Under arrest (most likely sent to Forced labor camp or shot).
  • High Treason (doing multiple activities for EZIC) - Punishment: Death by firing squad.

Trivia Edit

  • No matter the time or reason for being incarcerated, the inspector's prison cell number is always the same.
  • EZIC has at least one agent inside a prison and labor camp because they are able to send messages to the inspector in his cell.
  • The ways to get imprisoned highlight the high suspicion and totalitarianism of the country. Evidence is hardly ever needed to send someone to a prison or a forced labor camp. For example, Dimitri can send the inspector to forced labor because he did not allow Dimitri's friend through (even though she did not have the right paperwork) under the guise of stealing Arstotzkan property.
